It’s been a few days, and there have been a few updates.

Sorry about the delay in posts, I have been visiting family for the last 3 days or so, today was the first day in quite a while I’ve gotten to work on my project.  However, there is some good news:

I added some rudimentary skills (one per weapon type).  I also added a stamina system, which depletes when sprinting, regenerates when not sprinting, and is used by attacks.  The attacks use more and more stamina with each successive swing, so after a while it is truly not worth swinging away, and you should just wait a moment so the stamina cost is reset.

I posted a collaboration post about the project, and hope to hear from some people who can take over the art, and possibly AI side of things, so I can focus more on the things that I am good at.

    Hey

Just wanted to let you know that there is someone who likes what you are doing.

Following our dreams is maybe the one reason why we have been born.

Keep up the good work and don’t lose sight of your goal.

    Best regards
    Chris

Thanks for your words, they were kind of inspiring. I had to quit the process because of lack of art assets, lack of art skill, and lack of being able to do AI programming. But I think I will get back into it in the next few weeks. I will make a post in the next few days outlining a few thoughts I’ve had.

It is a pity that you have given up your old project, but I hope that this doesn’t also applies to your dream of having the game on your mind become real.

Making a game all by your own is really a big purposes, it needs a lot of willpower but before anything else it need time and endurance.

Sometimes it can be helpful and motivating to have someone to talk to which also is conversant with the subject.

Feel free to send me an E-Mail if you like to talk, I’m definitely not a pro but at least I’m a little bit familiar with unity and blender too.

        Best regards

For some reason I can’t reply to the other copy of your comment, but I will clarify: I have not given up on making that game, but I’ve given up on that attempt. That is still the game I’ve always wanted to make, and I’ll try another, more polished attempt after making something else.
